SCORM 1.2 courses that run in any LMS

Every course is one zip file. Upload it to your learning management system, assign it, and each learner's completion and score report back automatically. This page explains what is in the file and what to do if you do not have an LMS.

What a SCORM package is

SCORM is the standard that lets a course made by one company run inside a learning platform made by another. A SCORM 1.2 package is a zip file containing the course and a small manifest that tells your LMS how to launch it and what to record. SCORM 1.2 has been the most widely supported version since 2001, which is why we build to it: it runs in old platforms and new ones alike.

What is inside each course

  • Four units, each with an introduction, 16 to 20 screens of content for a foundation course (about 11 for a role course), a recap and a 10-question quiz.
  • A pass mark of 80%. Each unit unlocks the next, so completion means every quiz has been passed.
  • Short interactive exercises inside the content: click-to-reveal, a quick check, an estimate-and-reveal slider. These are for learning, never for marks.
  • Optional narration on every screen, with captions, so learners can listen or read.
  • Five short video introductions: one for the course, one for each unit.
  • A final score that is the average of the four quizzes, reported to your LMS with the completion.

Uploading to your LMS

The steps are similar in every platform: create a course, choose "upload SCORM package" (or similar), select the zip, save, then assign learners. The quick-start we send with each course lists the exact clicks for the most common platforms. If yours is unusual, send us the name and we will check it before you buy.

If you do not have an LMS

Every course is delivered as a SCORM package for your own LMS, so you will need one to use it. Moodle is free and open source, and several other providers offer free or low-cost plans for small teams. We are happy to point you in the right direction.

Previews and the sample package

Every course page has the 27-second introduction video and two screens from the course. If you want to check it in your own system first, ask for the free sample package: Unit 1 of a foundation course, as a real SCORM 1.2 file, to run in your LMS before you buy.

Keeping courses current

Business technology changes quickly, so every course was written and fact-checked in 2026 against dated sources, and each carries a "last reviewed" date. We review the catalogue each quarter.

Accessibility

Narration and captions on every screen, keyboard navigation throughout, a responsive layout for PC and tablet, and colour contrast that meets WCAG 2.2 AA. Our accessibility statement sets out the detail.
