Who we are

Business Technology Training sells online courses published by Blocknorth, a UK e-learning publisher. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Blocknorth Ltd (company number 11441168), whose registered office is 3 Waterloo Square, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4DR, United Kingdom. "You" means the person using this site or the organisation buying a licence.

Using this site

You can use this site without an account. There are no logins and no payments on it. You can browse the courses, watch the previews and ask us for a quote.

Prices

All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and exclude VAT.

Site licences for organisations

We sell site licences to organisations directly. A site licence:

• is granted to one organisation
• covers the number of learners purchased, as stated in your quote
• lasts 12 months from the date we deliver the course package
• is delivered as a SCORM 1.2 package, to run in your organisation's own learning management system (LMS)

How you may use a licensed course

You may load the package on your organisation's LMS and use it to train your own staff.

You may not:

• resell it
• sublicense it
• redistribute it
• publish it
• use it to train the staff of any other organisation

When a licence ends

When a licence ends, your organisation must remove the package from its LMS and stop using it. Any learner records your LMS created remain your organisation's own.

The sample package

Before you buy, we may send a free sample package: Unit 1 of one course, as a SCORM 1.2 file, for evaluation in your organisation's own LMS. It is for checking that the package runs in your system, not for training use beyond that evaluation, and it carries no obligation on either side.

Invoices and payment

We invoice when you approve a quote. Our payment terms are 30 days.

Refunds

Once a package has been delivered, we do not give refunds, with one exception. If the package fails to run in a SCORM 1.2 compliant LMS, tell us in writing within 30 days of delivery. If we cannot fix it within 30 days of your report, we refund that licence fee in full. That refund is the only remedy for a package that does not run.

Faults reported more than 30 days after delivery are handled as support, not as refunds.

Our liability

Our total liability to you under a licence is limited to the fees you paid for that licence in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Courses about law and regulation

Where a course covers a law or regulation, it is general awareness training and not legal advice, so take your own advice on your organisation's specific obligations.

Copyright

All content on this site, including its text, design, imagery and video previews, and all course content, is owned by Blocknorth Ltd or licensed to it.

You may not copy, scrape, reproduce, frame or reuse any of it without our written permission.

You may quote course descriptions and previews briefly for the purpose of an internal purchasing decision, for example when making the case for a course inside your organisation.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
