Digital Accessibility for Business 101: What the Law Now Requires
Digital accessibility law changed fast: the European Accessibility Act became enforceable from 28 June 2025, and the UK Equality Act's anticipatory duty already applies to digital services. This course gives any employee, in any role, the working knowledge to understand these obligations and apply practical habits, in documents, meetings, images and supplier briefs. General awareness training, not legal advice.
- Easy-to-follow course
- 4 quizzes at 80% in every course
- Narration and captions on every screen

What your team will learn
Upon course completion, employees will gain a full and clear understanding of:
- Why digital accessibility has become a legal and commercial issue, not only an ethical one
- What the European Accessibility Act and the UK Equality Act require, in outline
- What WCAG and the European harmonised accessibility standard are, and what Level AA means
- The most common accessibility failures found in everyday documents, tools and content
- Practical habits for accessible documents, meetings, images and supplier briefs
- What an accessibility statement is, how basic testing works, and who to involve
Who it is for
Written for all staff. No technical background is needed, and nothing in it assumes a previous course.
This course from Blocknorth explains why digital accessibility has become a compliance issue, not just an inclusion nice to have, covering the European Accessibility Act, the UK Equality Act and the WCAG standard in plain English. You will learn what good enough looks like in everyday work, from writing documents to briefing suppliers, with no legal or technical background required.
